 1 pound (3 cups) dried fava beans, preferably skinless or Blanchard and Blanchard Frozen Fava Beans
 68 scallions, minced
 35 cloves garlic, crushed or 3-5 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
 ¼ cup chopped cilantro or fresh parsley
 12 tsp ground cumin
 1 tsp Haddar Baking Powder
 cayenne
 5 ½ tsp salt
  ground round black pepper to taste
 1 tsp ground coriander (optional)
 all-purpose flour for coating
  vegetable oil for deep-frying
