ITS Project Coordinator

Description of the role and purpose of the job:

To perform project management and administrative duties in support of the KPMG ITS Project Management Office, the project managers and the projects being executed. The project coordinator is required to be a detail-oriented person to ensure work is accurate and performed timely, and will require good communication, computer and organisational skills with an ability to balance numerous tasks at one time.

The project coordinator will work closely with the project managers to assist with preparing action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. The role will also require the project coordinator to perform various coordinating tasks like schedule and risk management as well as administrative duties like maintaining project documentation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participates in prioritisation of portfolio for all IT projects to ensure business and IT value and manage risk
  • Assist PMO in the organisation and management of the daily activities of the project office and ensure efficient flow of information and administrative support to the projects, including project and progress reporting for project management and review purposes
  • Coordinate and support PMO processes to drive compliance with governance requirements
  • Assist on projects for requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Draw up, obtain approval and distribute required project documentation
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing regular contact on project status and changes
  • Manage reporting and tracking progress on project portfolio

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):

  • Project management fundamentals certification
  • 2+ years proven experience as a project administrator or in similar management role
