We succeed when we help our customers grow their businesses, create jobs and power their local communities Facebook is seeking a Client Solutions Manager (CSM) to join our Global Marketing Solutions team in SSA. The CSM will work across our key clients within FinServe, entertainment, media & travel who are operating multi-channel, across countries and across our Facebook platforms. We are looking for a strategic and enthusiastic solution-driver who puts customers at the core of everything. This person has a passion for marketing and business development, and firm belief that the future of marketing is identity-based, data-driven and grounded in measurable outcomes. With proven understanding of online brand and performance marketing on Facebook and Instagram, the CSM is responsible to drive revenue by advising on campaigns on Facebook platforms, negotiating and optimizing the advertising solutions, and use data and analytics to build consultative advice for our customers. The CSM works in close collaboration with a client partner, jointly operating as a strong business team and trusted advisor towards our clients. Success in this position requires a high level of consultative and analytical skills (campaign analytics, dashboarding, ad solution optimization), with focus on client development. The CSM must be solution-oriented, with curiosity and the ability to drive impact in a dynamic, team-focused environment, while moving fast against challenging deadlines. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, yet strategic individual. We look for an ‘enabler’ mentality and the ability to establish strong partnerships with clients and their agencies– both in terms of culture and business outcomes – in a constantly changing environment with high expectations. This position will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Client Solutions Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop key accounts
  • Builds and manages relationships within the clients and with agency partners (media, creative, marketing partners
  • Solid understanding of (Digital) Marketing, Technology, and accompanying Facebook advertising solutions
  • Experience in ad tech/online marketing technologies and understands how to implement them for an effective and efficient marketing strategy
  • Drive product adoption
  • Capability to work in equal partnerships with client partners, identifying, creating, and implementing marketing solutions grounded on achieving measurable business results for our business partners
  • Innovation-based solution perspective, building on client needs
  • Radar for lighthouse innovation opportunities, with focus on projects that unlock new sources of revenue
  • Strong profiling as external advisor, educating clients and agencies on product solutions and best practices, and ultimately grow existing business partnerships
  • Ability to translate business objectives into campaign strategy, proposing campaign structures and implementing measurement solutions (actionable insights, translate results into recommendations)
  • Consulting skills towards clients and agencies in the field of planning, execution, ongoing reporting and optimization of campaigns
  • Highly developed data analytics skills, translating data into insights to guide strategy and implementation of Facebook solutions
  • Natural confidence and strong presence towards decision-makers
  • Collaborative by nature, in working with a highly diverse group of cross-functional teams, internally and externally

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ previous experience in marketing, media and/or consulting companies
  • Experience within the marketing industry and business development trends within the industry
  • Understanding of both brand marketing and online (performance) marketing and major advertising success metrics
  • Experience in working effectively with cross functional teams and across different levels of senior management (internally and externally)
  • Experience with analyzing datasets delivering upon actionable insights required, advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Need for strong project management, communication and prioritization skills and internal/external partner management
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate and work effectively in an experienced team
  • Ability to confidently present to external clients
  • Strong passion for Technology and Facebook mission
  • Have a good Customer and industry Knowledge
  • Previous Experience working within FinServ, travel or entertainment is beneficial
  • Fluency in English
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and/or statistical packages such as R, SAS, SPSS
  • Basic understanding of attribution modelling/measurement
  • Experience as a Facebook user and knowledge of Facebook’s ad products
